Water

As the exclusive UK agent for Egeplast products since 2005, Westwood Pipelines are able to offer the full range of polyethylene products for potable water.

Having been in production since the 1950s, polyethylene pipes are strong, lightweight and flexible. With their tough thermoplastic construction they are used for the transportation of drinking water, natural gases, irrigation and drainage. Naturally resistant to corrosion and abrasion, PE pipes are remarkably sustainable, provide tighter leak-proof joints and can last up to 100 years!

Used widely throughout Europe, PE plastic pipe systems help to maintain the quality of potable water with reduced waste and leakage. Given the light weight of PE, our selection of polyethylene pipes can be produced, transported and installed in long lengths, including coils up to 500m (subject to size and product). Yet it’s in the static ‘flow-through’ rate that provides the most reliability as – no matter how much they age – the same energy is retained throughout the pipe lifespan with very little or zero maintenance. By using the highest grade PE100 blue and black material to produce the PE pressure pipes for potable water, Westwood Pipelines can supply your infrastructure at a cost that works for you. So no matter the project, you can always depend on us for natural, clean drinking water.

Service Pipe PE80

The medium density PE80 blue service pipe is for the transportation of safe, clean potable water below ground. Westwood Pipelines supplies a range of sizes for your needs – from 20mm to 63mm – with a variety of fittings available, such as standard and reduction coupling, 90˚ Elbows and Tees. The service pipes can either be provided in straight lengths or coils up to 150m.

Developed by the German manufacturer Egeplast, the SLA Barrier Pipe system prevents the permeation of pollutants into potable water and the environment. Its aluminium barrier enables the best protection to outside contaminants with an impermeable surface, while the system’s electrical properties are capable of checking the integrity of the pipe even after installation.
